About Sundays

Every Sunday we take time out to gather together to worship, receive teaching and to focus on God - who He is, what He's done for us in our lives and what life is really all about. Everyone is welcome.

At the moment we are meeting online, so the information below is a wee bit out of date! However, we are planning to come back with some in-person meetings in August - see here for more information: Back in the building!

The Meeting

Our Sunday meeting starts at 10.30am in our wonderful building - The Friary on Tullideph Road. We start with a time of worshipping God together (lively and contemporary in feel).

After 2 or 3 songs our younger children go to an adjoining room for a time of praise and worship together. Creche (up to pre-school), Sparks (pre-school to P3) Ignition (P4-P7) start at 11.15am. Youth is fortnightly, starting at the same time.

After a few announcements about what’s coming up in the life of the church, there is a clear talk from the Bible, which we hope is relevant and challenging to all.

Meetings usually last about 90 minutes, but most people stay around afterwards to catch up over some tea, coffee or juice. We'd love you to stay around so we can get to know you a little.

Sunday Picture 3Hospitality

On the first Sunday of every month, we enjoy lunch together in four Community Hubs across the city. These hospitality Sundays are open to all and are a great way to meet and get to know people at church - and of course enjoy some great free food!

Sunday Picture 2City Church has a family feel, reflecting the importance we place on family. In our Sunday services, we start with children and adults worshipping together. Younger children leave after a few songs to spend some time worshipping together. There is then a crèche for children aged 0-3 and Kidszone for children aged 4-11. Our teenagers meet together on some Friday evenings for a range of fun activities. On Sunday mornings they alternate between having their own youth teaching series one week and listening to the sermon and serving in a service team on the next week.

City Church Dundee aims to be a church where people are always welcome. We would love the opportunity to get to know you and answer any questions you may have. Be sure to fill in a GET CONNECTED card when you visit to be kept up to date with details about the latest events taking place. Do also pick up the latest copy of the CCD Courier our bi-monthly newsletter for all the latest news, articles, upcoming events and dates for your diary.
